Across the Nyale, Mundri and Nkole Payams, UGEAFI supports households with improved seeds, tools and climate-smart training, backed by village savings groups.
In South Sudan, UGEAFI implements integrated food security and livelihood interventions across the Nyale, Mundri and Nkole Payams, where communities face recurrent food insecurity, limited access to agricultural inputs and climate-related shocks.
The programme has supported 5,647 households — 33,882 beneficiaries — with improved seeds, agricultural tools and technical training in climate-smart practices such as land preparation, soil conservation and pest control, helping smallholders increase production and reduce dependence on humanitarian assistance.
UGEAFI also promotes income-generating activities and has established 72 Village Savings and Loan groups with 1,800 members, giving families — especially women, youth and vulnerable households — the means to save, access credit and invest in small businesses.
